Limitation leads to Joy

Limitation 60 demonstrates facing danger with inner joy.  Limitation also means the division of time into discreet periods -- the making of the calendar and other time divisions. Time is what is limited by division into measurable units like seconds, hours, days and months. This was considered very important for government to do so that the times for planting, growing and harvesting could be predicted.  The inner trigram Tui indicates speech and communication. The outer trigram Kan here indicates the creative above its other meanings.

Here, the fourth line changes.  It indicates that limitation is accepted in the service of another -- a willing limitation that leads to good fortune.  Like agreeing to take a job which does, after all, limit our time.
