A free divination to guide your day. I have studied Tarot since 1973, the I Ching since 1976, and several other divination systems. My hope is you will find these messages useful, enlightening or humorous in some way. Did I mention it was free?

It is natural to feel sad when your talents are not recognized -- just don't let it cause you to fall over the edge.

The Well 48 has as one set of meanings how one becomes of service to others and finds sustenance from our relationships. It is also a 'progressive' hexagram in that each line relates to a sequence in activity from a time when the Well is unusable to a time when it is ready for use but neglected to a time when it is freely used.  Today the third line changes.  This line refers to the time after the Well has been repaired but before anyone notices it.  This brings sadness to the one it pertains to because they know they are ready for use but no one recognizes it.  This leads to hexagram 29 the Abysmal.  It is the counterpart of  30 Clinging Fire.  The Abysmal represents danger upon danger, abyss upon abyss, and night upon night.  I believe it is similar to the Tower Tarot Trump XVII -- the hexagram the Abysmal has nuclear trigrams Chen the arousing below and Ken the mountain and keeping still above which form Hexagram 27, Nourishment, whose symbol is the mouth.  Tarot Trump XVII, the Tower, is associated with the letter Pe, which means mouth, and depicts people falling into the abyss.  So I think you can guess it does not have a particularly positive meaning except that destruction can be creative, too.  Think Shiva.

  1. I couldn't resist this comment. Please forgive the indulgence. This morning around 7 am I obtained the above divination. I didn't get a chance to blog it because I was taking a friend to LAX for his trip to Europe. I have been friends with JY since 1994 - he has been a very good friend but he does not like the mystical/psychic side of my personality - he was trained in science (as I was) and simply has no use for what cannot be seen or measured. That is OK - he is still a great guy. Anyway, I got him there around 830 am for his flight later that morning. I said to him as we approached the terminal, 'Well I guess you will have to wait at the gate for a few hours, huh?" He got a little dismissive, "The flight is at 10 am and the gate closes at 930 so I doubt I will wait at all." "Ok," I replied. Then about 915 he texted me that his flight was cancelled and he was booked on an alternate flight to New York -- so he would be in the terminal a few hours after all. You see, he would not accept psychism but he clearly was surprised when I was right. It is like the Well with third line changing - I have an ability that my friend won't acknowledge except when there is no avoiding it. You may have a similar experience today, too.
